My Story

Growing up in the technology capital of the world, Silicon Valley.  My first tech job was working at a company called Intel. I didn’t know much as I was only 18.  It was interesting.  I was working in a warehouse sorting integrated circuits.  It wasn’t long and I was working at Fabrication Building, Intel’s Fab 1a.

Working swing shift was new to me.  Five days a week working from 3:30 to close to midnight.  I worked in Production Control.  We supplied stuff to the workers and the fab floor.  Stuff being office supplies and spare parts to keep the production floor working.

It was new and interesting and kept my attention most of the time.  I then was told to work on a computer – an Apple II.  I did some database thing. It was interesting.  My day-shift counter part was scared of the thing.

Then something interesting happened.  The company bought an IBM computer.  We just came off of what was called the 125% solution.  Working excess hours or taking a pay cut.  Something I didn’t understand.  The economy in 1982-1983 was maybe not so good.

I liked the IBM.  It had two floppy drives.  Then a 5 Megabyte hard drive, then 10 Megabytes.  Massive amounts of storage – we thought.

I then taught myself to program computers.  BASIC was first.  Then DBase II.  I used DBase II to create a program to “patch” process control cards, Run Cards they were called.  Well, this took me to a new position.  I was promoted to be a computer operator.  This was fun at first until I wasn’t allowed to program anymore.  See “Operators” aren’t programmers… Yawn… I moved on at maybe age 21.

I have created programs to do things people told me weren’t possible.  I love a challenge.  A real think outside of the box person.

I look forward to hearing your story

What Can I Do for You?

As much as you are willing to embrace.  Really, the limits are set by you.  Do you want to let go of those limits?

I’m a public speaker that has been trained by fire – leading my own training seminars.  Creating content to educate people about financial products and concepts

My favorite training was at Landmark Education, now Landmark World Wide.  I was a program leader for Landmark.  I would lead training sessions that were 2-3 hours long.  The participant was trained to see something newly in their lives.  Something they had not before seen.  It was a taste of what they could get by taking The Landmark Forum.

From what I learned at Landmark I was able to grow beyond my limited thoughts.  I always wanted my own company.  We created two, an Insurance Brokerage and a Registered Investment Advisor firm.

Now I am ready for a third company, my training and development company.  A company were we are walking our walk and talking our talk.

Authenticity – putting fears aside, acting in the face of discomfort.

I said it before, who doesn’t need advice?  If you think you know all there is, then you’re not in the right place.  If you are open minded – you are in the right place.  Let’s talk.
